Here in Tahiti, we drive on the right side of the road. There are several rental companies here, such as Avis and Hertz, and your hotel can help to arrange or even rent a car to you. The roads here are in good condition, but you need to remember to take it slow, as they are narrow and twist constantly. At night time, you also need to be especially careful, as some pedestrians and bicyclists are out without the proper lights or light colored clothing. So, take your time here, and you will be sure to enjoy your trip. Taxis are also available at the airport, hotels and Papeete city. If you've booked with a travel agency, you won't need any cars as they will come to pick you up with their shuttle.
